July Favorites

I can't believe we are already in August and sooner than later we'll be waving bye to 2014. I wanted to share my July favorites which also incorporates my June favs. I won't commit to doing these every single month, only when I pick up new products and end up loving them!

Maybelline's The Nudes Palette: I've been loving this palette for everyday. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and lasting power of the shadows.  It was definitely a great buy at Target!

Loreal's Colour Riche in Pink Vinyl: I enjoy wearing bright lips in the hotter months and this color is the perfect shade. This feels very buttery and the pigmentation payoff is amazing. Can't wait to try these in darker hues for Fall :)

Essie Bikini-So- Teeny: This color is the perfect blend of baby blue and lilac. I can see myself wearing this shade all year-round.

Freeman's Facial Polishing Mask in Charcoal & Black Sugar: After a humid day this stuff feels really good in the skin. My fav part is feeling the sugar take away all the dead skin. This is extremely affordable at the drug store. I'm now intrigued to try other masks by Freeman Beauty. Any recommendations?

Maybelline's Dream Fresh BB Cream: I've been wearing this literally every single day. I really like this BB cream because it feels light, gives enough coverage, and has SPF 30.

Milani's Blush in Coral Cove:  I have to admit the flower design was what draw me  ( I'm such a sucker for packaging lol ). This shade is the perfect coral for Summer and a bit goes a long way. The lasting  power of these blushes is also pretty impressive. Its safe to say I want all the shades in this collection!!

    BeautyCon NYC

I had the opportunity to attend BeautyCon NYC last weekend thanks to my friend Rachell  having VIP tickets. It was truly so much fun! I got to hang out with my friends, meet YouTubers and play with makeup.

Because we had VIP tickets we received a BeautyCon fabric tote bag which we then filled with some goodies. Revlon, Maybelline, Crown Cosmetics and Bare Minerals amongst  others makeup brands were present at the event.

These are some of the goodies from the event:
    Goodies :P

I purchased the Crown eyeshadow palette and beauty blender. The rest of the items were freebies which I had several of but I had to share the fun  with my friends and sister (I couldn't keep it all!). Those were the items I kept :)

I also had the opportunity to meet  Dulce Candy and Carlibel. Both girls are really sweet, caring and gorgeous. I'm definitely an even bigger supporter of their work now.

These are few pictures from the event:

Cosmos and Margaritas at the VIP and Pro Lounge area. :)

Arriving at the event. I loved the NY yellow cab and pink BeautyCon balloons.

    Dulce Candy's meet and greet.

I hope to attend next year and share the fun with my friends once again.

Did you attend BeautyConNYC? What did you like the most ?

Current Obsession: Too Faced's Melted Liquified Lipsticks

recently picked up Too Faced's Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in the  shade Melted Peony which is a light dusty pink and I have to admit I'm in love. The consistency of these lipsticks is just AMAZING. They feel buttery and set to a velvet finish which I love. I had the "dinner  test" and I was pretty impressed with the staying power.  And can I just add that the packaging is just too stinky cute?

    Wearing Melted Peony.

I can't wait to go back to Sephora and try other shades. I'm specially eyeing Melted Coral because you know, coral just screams summer.

What is your current obsession? Have you tried these Melted Lipsticks?

    Happy Sunday!

    Everyday Makeup Routine

Let's be honest here, I'm not a morning person at all. I try to fully maximize my time at 7:15am, I mean who wants to worry about makeup when the alarm goes off?! Not I. These are my go to product on a daily basis:

Taken with IPhone 5. The NAKED palette has gotten some love :)

Face: I'm currently using Loreal's Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream in Medium.I have say it does a pretty good job.

Concealer: Currently using NYX's Full Coverage Concealer in Beige. This really is FULL COVERAGE and has really minimum greasing. Also, a lil goes a long way.

Eyeshadow: I'm a true fan of the Original Naked Palette by Urban Decay. What can I say? This has gotten a lot of love and takes me from day to night so easily.

Eyebrows: To fill in my brows I'm loving Anastasia's Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn. This stays on all day long.

Eyeliner: I picked up this liquid eyeliner from NYX to try and I have to admit I have fallen in love. It lasts all day and you can't beat the price!

Mascara: Benefit's They're Real Mascara is my favorite ever! It gives my lashes length and volume.

Blush and Bronzer: I use Urban Decay's Flushed palette trio. I use the bronzer and blush on an everyday basis and only use the highlighter for a more dramatic or nighttime look. I find the bronzer to be very natural and settle on with my skin tone. The blush is a dark rose tone with a tiny amount of shine.

Lips: For everyday I use Smith's Rosebud Salve lip balm. If I'm feeling a bit more festive or glittery I use Mac's lipgloss in Love Nectar.

and there you have it. These are the product I use on a daily basis I might change my lip choice here and there but for the most part this is it.

What are you go to products? Happy Weekend! :)

    My Skincare Routine

I know skincare seems rather uneventful and boring but hey, is not all about the glitz and glam. Before I begin to ramble  I thought I say I have normal to combination skin. I have pretty good skin and get very small breakout. I typically only breakout if I'm really stressed out or is that time of the month but overall I'm pretty happy in that department. I also have a strong skin ( at least I think so anyways) I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin.  Okay - enough with the background and on to the purpose of this post.

I'm currently completely inlove with the entire Sibu Beauty line and have been using it a little over 6 months now.  Sibu products are all natural, vegan and cruelty free. You can read more about them here.

    Cleanser:

I use this facial cleanser day and night. What I  like the most are the small particles that make my skin feel fresh and tight after wash. When I use heavier makeup ( foundation, darker eyes ) I use Clinique's Wash-Awat Gel Cleanser  and concentrate it all my eyes. I then cleanse with the Sibu Balancing Facial Cleanser.

    Toner:

After I gently tap dry my skin I use a cotton ball and spray a bit of the Clarifying Toner. I love this stuff so much because it feels refreshing and I can see how my skin "drinks it up" in a matter of seconds.

    Serum:

Okay - so this is the first time ever I use a serum. I always thought serums were for the older you know. Well it came to me that I'm in fact getting older each day like most people you know lol. Even thought I'm still in my early twenties I should try preventing now. Is not like this is for wrinkles or anything but yea serums are somewhat serious ( well I think so myself) . After I toner-up i let me skin soak it all in and then apply two tiny drops of the Hydrating Serum. This serum has a gel consistency and turns into a white foam as I rub into the skin.

    Moisturizer:

I then apply two drops of their Nourishing Facial Cream this is very light yet nourishing moisturizer which I use in the mornings. I love that my skin feels hydrated, refresh and looks glow-y ( not shiny) after applying. This is one of my favorites of the entire line!!!

    Night time cream:

I use Sibu's Replenishing Night Time cream in place of the Nourishing Facial Cream at night. This cream feels a lot more concentrated than the day-time moisturizer. I take a tiny amount and distribute evenly around my face and neck. I can definitely see and feel a difference when I use this stuff in the morning; my skin feels smooth and has a brighter appearance.

    Eye Cream:

I then move on to Sibu's Age Defying Eye Cream.I take to very tiny drops and tap-it gently in my entire eye area. Even though I know this cream is meant for day and night I have to admit I tent to use it mostly at night.

    Scrub:

I exfoliate my skin once a week - mostly in the weekends  since I have more time to get ready. This scrub really gets down and dirty and makes my skin feel squeaky clean.

There you have it! my entire skin care routine. I know it seems like a loonnngggg and boring process but I promise it doesn't take more than 7-10 minutes. I look forward to treating my skin before applying any makeup even if I'm half asleep ( haha ). Plus nothing feels more liberating than taking all my makeup at the end of  a long, busy day.

I thought I'll share with you this  Beauty Serving Size: The Ultimate Guide to How Much Product You Really Need - I found it on Pinterest and thought  it was pretty interesting.
